Sarah Curry founded SMS Consulting in 2010 to help institutions with a variety of International Education needs. Since then Sarah has worked with institutions of higher education and private high schools assisting where needed, from Interim Director positions to day-to-day consulting on immigration and advising issues.

Sarah began her career in International Education at The University of Vermont’s Office of International Education, culminating with the position of Interim Director, overseeing Study Abroad, Exchange Programs and International Student & Scholar Services. Sarah then joined a Burlington VT based law firm, Dinse, Knapp & McAndrew, where her focus was immigration law.

In addition to her direct work experience, Sarah has served as the Vermont State Representative, the Regional Chair for NAFSA: Association of International Educators, Region XI. She currently sits on NAFSA’s Trainer Corps, a select group who presents trainings at NAFSA-sponsored conferences and is serving as the Dean for NAFSA’s F-1 Secondary Schools Core Education Workshop.

In her community, Sarah serves on the board of the Greater Burlington Girls Soccer League and is actively engaged with a number of local non-profit organizations.

Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts from Marist College and a Master of Education from The University of Vermont.
